Raised in New York city, Yves studied fashion at the Parsons School of Design,  and an interned with Michael Leva.

After Parsons, Yves joined his idol, the great Geoffrey Beene, as an apprentice, and worked directly with Albert ELBAZ, former Creative Director for LANVIN.

Mr. Beene's passion for fashion influenced both Yves' love of great cuts and designs, and of a rigueur for an out-of-the box style of conception and, thus further pushing the boundary of his creativity.

Later, while consulting for Calvin Klein, and working on his own eponymous collection, he decided to follow his father's advice and move to Paris, to further excel in the craft of high-end couture and design, designing for Lanvin and Balenciaga. Soon thereafter, he met the woman who would become the love of his life and partner and wife Valerie, with whom he relocated to New York, and eventually to Los Angeles, where he became Chief of the design studio for Lloyd Klein Beverly Hills.
